The newly released HP LaserJet 1220 printer is included in the list of features most sought after by customers because it comes at a tantalizing price. In addition, LaserJet 1220 offers two ports (one Parallel and one USB), 90 MHz processor, 250-page input tray, 10,000-page/month duty cycle, and 10-sheet feed tray priority which can also be used for heavyweight paper.
The USB port is compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 and can be used with your Mac while you also have a PC connected to the Parallel port. This machine is equipped with 8MB of memory which can be increased to 72MB. This device consistently prints my text documents at 14-15 ppm even when the printer is set at the default 1200 dpi, and the output quality is very good. Unfortunately, even though the LaserJet 1220 has an energy saving mode, it doesn’t have a power switch.
