Considering that the M477fdw houses four toner cartridges and a duplexer, a small footprint – at 15.4 x 16.4 x 12.7 inches, that’s equivalent to most monochrome laser multifunction printers. A unit tray input / output at the top allows you to load multipage documents for copying and scanning. When you lift the tray, you will find a scanning bed, which you can also lift for better access to the print output tray. If you want to print documents that are not on a network device, you can plug the printer into the 2.0 USB Port on the front panel. Using the USB print option on the 3-inch color touch screen, you can print files from the USB thumb drive, for example. One downside to the M477fdw is the relatively low 150-sheet paper tray, which slides out from the bottom of the printer.
